Shaky Beats invades Atlanta next month with some of the best names in electronic music coming together for a weekend of nonstop dancing. The festival’s inaugural lineup covers just about every sub-genre of electronic music, and while there are plenty of amazing DJs, there’s also a solid roster of artists that are gonna have you dancing with live vocals and instruments. The lineup is solid from top to bottom, but it’s my job to pick favorites, so check these live acts out when you’re dancing and sweating beneath the hot Georgia sun this May.

AlunaGeorge

AlunaGeorge is an unstoppable force live, and was one of my favorite acts from Buku.  Aluna commands the audience with her vocals, and their set ranges from their beautiful originals to the songs they’ve contributed to with artists like Jack U and Disclosure.

Yeasayer

Yeasayer’s electro-indie might be a little more toned down than most of the music at Shaky Beats, but their energetic live show shouldn’t be missed. Yeasayer and AlunaGeorge unfortunately overlap a bit, but there’s no reason you can’t catch parts of both sets. That’s what legs are for.

MØ is one of my top musical crushes right now, and for good reason. She’s incredibly talented, ridiculously cute, and have you seen those dance moves? This is going to be a feel-good set that you’re not gonna want to miss.

Porter Robinson

Taking place immediately following MØ, Porter Robinson isn’t a DJ you would necessarily expect to have a live show, but he pulls it off beautifully. He lit up the Chicago summer at North Coast last year, and he’ll be doing the same to Atlanta in May.
