Hey hey Hypist fam! The best time of the year is in full swing and it’s time to get thinking about your spooky Halloween plans. Whether you head down to Nola for Voodoo, attempt to Escape from the Psycho Circus in California, or plan on heading to the Bayou in Florida for Suwannee Hulaween, we’ve got the lowdown on the Halloween festival that’s perfect for you. It’s no doubt that each music festival has its own unique environment which means that each festival is specialized for the various types of festival goers that you might come across. What should you do? That’s where we come in.
If you’re the kind of person who can go, go, go all day & all night, we recommend heading down to New Orleans for a hauntingly fun time. New Orleans is one of those magical mystical cities that literally never sleeps so it’s perfect for those who are looking for a packed weekend full of festivities. With headliners such as Odesza, Arctic Monkeys and Childish Gambino, Voodoo is the perfect fall festival for music lovers of all backgrounds. Taking place in City Park, Voodoo has perfect access to Frenchmen Street bars, Magazine Street Shops and enough costume boutiques around the city to make sure you’re dressed to the nines. The daily lineup is out now so make sure you get your tickets HERE asap!
Looking for a thrill? If you’re the kind of person who lives for a good spook, we recommend heading to the west coast for Escape Psycho Circus in SoCal. Per usual, Insomniac Events perfectly curated a lineup for shuffling the night away with all your freaky friends, and backed their killer lineup with stage designs that will put you in the upside down. If the stage design wasn’t enough, you also get access to a freak show in the big top and a trip into the asylum.. But only if you dare. Kaskade, Martin Garrix, Tchami, Excision, Lane 8, a circus, a haunted house, performers.. We could go on and on but your best bet is to just go ahead and buy that ticket right now.
For those of you interested in a slightly more relaxing, swamp witch kinda vibe get ready for Suwannee Hulaween in Live Oak, Florida. Surrounded by eerie Spanish moss, this festival is the last big hoorah for camping for the year. Not only will you find yourself lost in the music, surrounded by thousands of new best friends and immersed in the art installations but you’ll leave this festival feeling like a better and brand new you. The costume theme for this year has yet to be announced but the lineup has and it does NOT disappoint. Tipper, Janelle Monet, Odesza and not one but THREE nights of the String Cheese Incident can guarantee you a funky festival weekend. If you aren’t yet convinced, the festival takes place on the oh so mysterious Spirit of the Suwannee Lake and let’s just say things tend to get a little spooky ooky in the best of ways once the sun goes down..
With the weather getting colder by the minute, don’t find yourself stuck on the couch drowning in empty candy wrappers and suffering from a real case of FOMO. Whether it be a busy party down in the bayou for Voodoo Fest, a skin crawling scare on the west coast at Escape or a mystical swamp jam at Hulaween make sure to click those links above and secure your tickets for the Halloween experience of a lifetime.
